Trisha Carter is a Sydney-based organisational psychologist, global executive coach, and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Fellow. She works with leaders and teams, international assignees, and their families, as well as the HR and Global Mobility teams. Her practice draws on psychological research, an attentiveness to the wellbeing of people in transition, the CQ developmental framework, and the PRISM Leadership toolkit.
Together these let her hold both the human side of moving across cultures and the rigour organisations look for. With a personal history spanning New Zealand, China and Australia, and dual Australian–New Zealand citizenship, she brings genuine lived experience to the work. Trisha also hosts The Shift podcast, where she explores cultural intelligence, intercultural storytelling, and the inner and outer transitions that international life demands. She loves connecting with people asking the same questions she is about belonging, identity, and building understanding across difference.
