The Employee Mobility Institute (TEMI), the talent mobility community’s professional development body, has launched a new membership model and accreditation service.

The move coincides with the launch of TEMI’s new online professional development platform, TEMI Talent, which will enable practitioners to access self-service, on-demand online training.

“The number of HR professionals working in the niche talent mobility sector has grown, and we now serve an engaged and informed community of more than 2000 talent mobility practitioners and professionals from associated sectors,” TEMI Founder Deborah de Cerff said.

Up until now, TEMI membership has been free with the support of corporate sponsorships.

Ms de Cerff says these changes will be essential for the organisation to remain profitable and continue to innovate, and for the professional community to continue to grow.

New core product and service offerings will include:

  • Self-serve, on-demand online training
  • Accreditation for years of service (provision of endorsed post-nominals)
  • Executive coaching

In addition to its existing core product and service offerings, including:

  • Delivery of the industry’s GMP1 global mobility practitioner certification program
  • Roundtable workshops
  • Webinars
  • Networking opportunities
  • The Australasian Workforce Management Awards program

“We look forward to offering more flexible development opportunities and more personalised support, to align with the flexible work arrangements and individual needs of our members,” Ms de Cerff said.

“As more organisations build and develop the talent mobility function, TEMI too acknowledges the rising need for practitioners to demonstrate their years of experience in the field – and the need to reflect the formality of their positions more broadly given talent mobility is now more widely recognised as a role in its own right. Our new accreditation service will offer credible post-nominals to assist with this.”

“We are proud to provide workforce management professionals with the tools they need to excel, add value in their roles and advance their careers,” Ms de Cerff said.
